The 45th annual Southwestern Hampshire Type Conference will be held January 28-29th at the Nolan County Coliseum in Sweetwater, Texas. Something new for this year will be all breeds of swine will be allowed to enter the show and sale. Check in will be Friday from 8 am to 2 pm with a THBA board of directors meeting following to break the classes and set the floor price for the offering. The show will start Saturday morning at 8 am and the sale will begin no earlier than 12 noon. This show and sale is open to everyone and the entry fee is $20 per head. Entry limits are 2 boars and 4 gilts per breed and 4 crossbred gilts per exhibitor. Crossbred gilt entries will be accepted if the exhibitor also enters a purebred animal. All entries must be farrowed between June 1 and September 30, 2010. All registerable animals must be registered in the name of the exhibitor.
